The primary method of activity is engaging our residents in normal daily activities through our activation program. We encourage them to utilize and retain as many self-care skills as possible in order to provide a sense of purpose and satisfaction to the resident.
These activities may include helping to prepare some snacks and meals, setting the table, folding laundry or working in the garden. Some activities are spontaneous while others are scheduled. Spontaneous activities may include assembling a puzzle, playing games or doing exercises.
We also offer some scheduled activities to keep our residents engaged. These activities include recreation and therapeutic programs, especially in the areas of art and music.
