Our Home
Highview Residences are divided into communities called cottages. A cottage is home to between 12 and 14 Residents and consists of private and common spaces. By operating in smaller living areas, an environment is created that supports the Resident’s needs and fosters the Resident’s interests and involvement in the daily activities of the cottage while also providing spaces for quiet time.
Each Resident’s private bedroom has its own full accessible ensuite bathroom. The bedroom is 167 square feet and the room is furnished with the Resident’s furniture, favourite art, books and mementos, creating a space that is welcoming and warm.
Common spaces reflect the areas of a traditional home: kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room. Residents in each cottage have access to a private, secure outside garden. Each garden has a circular walking path with areas for sitting. Residents are encouraged to be outside and even help maintain the gardens.
